Under the direction of Dr. Smith\, the sanitorium attracted visitors seeking the curative properties of the cedar waters of Landing Creek. This presentation will explore how such water-immersion health resorts\, popular in southern Germany and southeastern Europe\, found a home in southern New Jersey. Join us as we delve into the cultural and medical significance of this unique institution and its place in local history.\n\n\nOur speaker\, Dick Colby\, is the Volunteer Curator for the Egg Harbor City Historical Society’s Roundhouse Museum.
