Don’t miss the Independence Day Parade on Thursday, July 4th at 11 a.m. in Downtown Hammonton and fireworks at Hammonton Lake Park at dusk, approximately 9 p.m. The fireworks will be set off from the little league baseball field along S. Hammonton Historic Preservation Guided Tour

The Hammonton Historic Preservation Commission leads guided walking tours throughout the spring, summer and fall, March through November. All participants will meet at the Eagle Theatre at 208 Vine St at 1 p.m. sharp. The tour includes stops in both the historic commercial and historic residential districts of Downtown Hammonton every first Saturday of the month, weather permitting. A $10 donation will support the Historical Society of Hammonton. Children under 18 are free.

  Residents can dispose of household hazardous items safely on Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ACUA Environmental Park located at 6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township. Most Atlantic County residents have hazardous waste in their cabinets, basements, or garages but may not realize these items cannot go in their regular trash cans. Hazardous items include cleaning products, motor oils, weed killer, oil-based paints, auto care products, and items like rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
