The town was recently made aware that a form regarding water testing was not sent to NJDEP in a timely manner. This matter was discussed at the February 27, 2023, Town Council meeting under the Water & Sewer report. A public notice will be mailed soon to all Hammonton Water Department users with details. Our public water system remains safe based on subsequent testing that was performed. No further action, other than the public notice, is required by the town or the residents at this time. The Hammonton Police Department will be hosting a Prescription Drug collection Day on 2/25/2023 from 9 am till 1 pm. Hammonton residents are asked to bring their unwanted prescription drugs on the collection date and time to be safely and properly disposed of. The Hammonton Police Department has participated in medication collection initiatives for years. The drug collection box that we had affixed in our lobby was being improperly used and had almost life-threatening consequences. On January 17, 2023, Scott Taylor of Taylor Design Group presented the Parks Commission with the above sign design plan for the Boyer Avenue Recreation Complex. The Commission approved the sign designs and voted to have Council approve the plan and the name change of the park. On January 23, 2023, Town Council at their meeting, presented the above sign design plan for the Boyer Avenue Recreation Complex.
