Bulk trash is collected on the first full week of each month, Monday through Friday, on your scheduled trash collection day.
Items must be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. Rugs, padding, paint and chemicals are not permitted. Please place items curbside as neatly as possible. Recycled items should be separated from bulk trash. Residents are required to use a dumpster for construction debris and should never be considered bulk trash. Items must be placed out in accordance with local ordinances or they will be refused.

  • Residents are allowed up to 3 bulky trash items per collection day.
  • Electronic items are permitted. TVs must be intact, cords present.
  • Rugs, carpet and carpet padding is not permitted and should be disposed of at the Hammonton Convenience Station.
  • Construction, remodeling and demolition debris is not permitted.
  • Tires are not permitted.
  • Hazardous materials are not permitted.

Items not permitted should go to ACUA. Household Hazardous Waste should be taken to ACUA drop-offs throughout the year and never placed in your household trash can. View dates and information.

Hours:
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location:
ACUA Haneman “Fritz” Environmental Park
6700 Delilah Road
Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234

ACUA will only accept tires from Atlantic County residents and businesses.

  1. Remove rims from tires. Rims can disposed of as metal.
  2. Tires must be separated from all other waste types when brought to ACUA so they can be taken out of the waste stream and recycled.

Please note: ACUA will not accept oversized and agricultural tires. An oversized tire is any tire greater than tractor trailer size, that is, any tire more than 4 ft. in diameter and/or more than 12 inches as measured across the tread. Contact the manufacturer or a store that sells tractor equipment to learn how to dispose.

Shredded tires may be disposed of as bulky waste.

Hammonton operates a Convenience Station for residents to use to dispose of various items. Click here for details.

Bulk trash does not include construction or demolition debris – toilets, bathtubs, windows, roofing materials, etc. Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste is a portion of solid waste resulting from the construction or demolition of buildings and other structures. Unlike regular household trash, construction and demolition (C&D) debris cannot be put at the curb on bulk trash day.

Construction and Demolition Debris may include:

  • Plaster/Wallboard
  • Insulation
  • Roofing Materials
  • Windows
  • Treated & Untreated Wood Scraps
  • Concrete, Asphalt, Bricks, Blocks
  • Linoleum / Tile
  • Kitchen / Bath Fixtures (tubs, toilets, sinks)

You may dispose of C&D debris at the ACUA or it can be recycled. Click here to visit the NJDEP’s site for a list of Approved Class B Recycling Facilities
