FULL-TIME GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER  

 

 Qualified candidates must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License. Commercial Pesticide and Commercial Fertilizer Applicator Licenses are preferred but not required.  

 

Under direct supervision, perform routine work in the care and maintenance of outdoor areas such as gardens, park grounds, recreational areas, lawns, athletic fields, courts, and indoor/outdoor turf. The candidate will be required to safely operate a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery used to care for and maintain grounds.  

 

40 hours per week, Single Benefits, and NJ Pension System. 

Salary to start $33,280.00

The Town of Hammonton seeks a violations clerk for the Municipal Court office. This is a full-time position, 32.5 hours per week, single benefits, and enrollment in the NJ Pension system. Salary to start at $30,420 per year.

Town of Hammonton Public Safety Telecommunicator • Full/Part Time Position Available

The Town of Hammonton is seeking a full/part time Public Safety Telecommunicator. Certification is required for this position. Bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred but not necessary. Pay rate is $16-$18.50 per hour.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Town of Hammonton Wastewater Treatment Supervisor • Full Time

Supervisor candidate is expected to assure that treatment operations for the Wastewater facility remain in compliance with applicable governing regulations at all times. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, candidate must be available to be contacted at all times to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities • Include but are not limited to

  • Maintaining compliance with all Federal and State operating permits.
  • Ensure that all treatment processes are functioning properly, and that the health and welfare of the Town of Hammonton residents, and the environment are top priorities.
  • Analyze daily laboratory data.
  • Compile, analyze, and submit all state required permits and reports, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Continually update permits for all pumping stations and the Wastewater treatment facility.
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations pertaining to wastewater treatment.
  • Willing to learn our public water system and obtain the necessary licenses to operate the system.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Expert knowledge of process and operational areas.
  • A mechanical/maintenance background.
  • Computer skills a bonus.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience in the wastewater industry.
  • 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred but not necessary.
  • New Jersey Wastewater Treatment License required as follows: S-3.
