The Hammonton Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all town-owned roads and properties as well as brush removal, leaf and grass removal, snow removal, roadside mowing, recreation and park maintenance, park sprinkler systems, town street signage, road grading, road repairs and maintenance, Storm Water Program management and trash removal. The department also coordinates with A.C.U.A. to make sure the recycling program is being followed. Recycling is a state law.

Bulk trash is collected on the first full week of each month.
Items must be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. Rugs, padding, paint and chemicals are not permitted.

Brush and yard waste will be collected during the second full week of each month.
Please make sure your yard waste does not exceed a 6’x6’x6’ pile. Clippings should be placed at the curb, cut ends to the road, before 6:00 a.m.

Municipal trash cans are the property of the Town of Hammonton.
The trash cans are assigned to residential addresses and are not transferable to another location or address. Property owners should call the Public Works Department at 609-567-4336 to report a damaged or stolen trash can and begin the Town’s process of replacing or repairing it.
