Hammonton Police Department
A winter storm is set to affect Hammonton, bringing with it snow, icy roads, and decreased visibility beginning Saturday evening, Jan. 24, 2026.
What to expect:
- Snow-covered and icy roadways
- Longer stopping distances (your brakes don’t work better just because you’re confident)
- Reduced visibility
- Increased response times as conditions worsen
What we’re asking:
- Slow it down
- Increase your following distance
- Clear ALL snow off your vehicle (yes, even the roof — we see you)
- Stay home if you don’t need to be out
Let’s join forces to ensure Hammonton remains safe, uneventful, and free from accidents during the storm. Drive carefully, exercise patience, and keep in mind that it’s better to arrive late than not at all. Thank you and please stay safe.
Winter storm warnings have been issued across all 21 counties in New Jersey as of Friday afternoon. A significant storm is anticipated to bring between 12 to 18 inches of snow to various regions of the state, along with a hazardous layer of ice in some areas.
Your vehicles MUST BE REMOVED from the streets of our community. Once the roadway Is covered by snow, your vehicle can be towed at your expense. We really rather you move your car and not us.
