Main Street Hammonton’s annual cornhole tournament returns to Downtown Hammonton on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at 11 Lincoln Street, with bags flying at 12:00 PM. The Downtown Hammonton Amateur Cornhole Tournament brings the community together for friendly competition, food, drinks and plenty of downtown fun. PSA: The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control continues to provide mosquito surveillance in its efforts to reduce the spread of mosquito-borne illness. Officials recently announced that samples collected from two Egg Harbor Township locations have each been confirmed for West Nile virus. Officials have seen more positive samples earlier in the season this year which may be related to warmer water or air temperature that created the ideal hatching environment. Community Energy Plan for the Town of Hammonton July 2026 Community energy planning is the process by which communities collaboratively select emissions-reducing initiatives that help fulfill the goals of the state’s Energy Master Plan. The Town received a grant in 2025 for the development of the Town’s Community Energy Plan (CEP). The CEP was completed and presented to Town Council during a public meeting on July 27, 2026.
