Traffic Advisory: Route 54 Reconstruction Project • Posted 4-15-26 The Route 54 Reconstruction Project will have a traffic switch in place at the 3rd Street and Bellevue Avenue intersection and the Front Street and Egg Harbor Road intersection on April 16th and 17th. Sidewalk removal will be done in the area from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Keep in mind that the schedule may change due to inclement weather. Community Energy Planning Grant Hammonton has received a grant through the NJ Board of Public Utilities in 2025. The Green Committee will be helping to administer this grant and will assist with setting up stakeholder meetings so that residents, business owners and other members of the community can discuss ideas about what might help to save money, use energy more efficiently and to prepare for the future. The purpose of this grant is to develop a community energy plan that includes several projects that make sense for our town. Each year, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife raises and stocks thousands of freshwater fish across the state thanks to the dedicated staff at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery. The Pequest Trout Hatchery plays a vital role in raising and stocking over 600,000 rainbow trout annually, stocking over 190 waterbodies throughout the state.
