To all citizens and persons within the municipality of the Town of Hammonton, New Jersey, and to all departments, divisions, and bureaus of the municipal government of the Town of Hammonton, New Jersey,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers vested in me by Chapter 251 of the Laws of 1942 as amended and supplemented, NJSA App. A:9-30 et. Seq.: NJSA 40-48-1 (6), and ordinances enacted pursuant thereto; NJSA 2C:33-1 et. Seq., and by ordinances adopted by the Town of Hammonton, I have declared that a local emergency exists within the Town of Hammonton; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid laws authorize the promulgation of such orders, rules, and regulations as are necessary to meet the various problems which have or may be presented by such a disaster/emergency; and
WHEREAS, by reason of the hazardous winter weather and roadway conditions which presently exist in all areas of the Town of Hammonton which may affect the health, safety, and welfare of the people of the Town of Hammonton, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these areas of the Town of Hammonton should be then declared emergency areas, and further that certain measures must be taken to ensure that the authorities will be unhampered in their efforts to maintain law and order as well as an orderly flow of traffic and further to protect the persons and property of the residents affected by the conditions; and
WHEREAS, the following areas every State, County and municipal roadway are designated emergency/disaster areas: the Town of Hammonton and all its roadways within are under SNOW EMERGENCY regulation
NOW, THEREFORE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH the aforesaid laws, we do hereby promulgate and declare the following regulations § 271-11. Snow emergency no parking shall be in addition to all other laws of the State of New Jersey and of the Town of Hammonton. As of 6:00PM (18:00 hrs) on 22nd day of February 2026 the Town of Hammonton and all its roadways are under SNOW EMERGENCY regulation.
§ 271-11. Snow emergency no parking areas designated. [Amended 3-21-2005 by Ord. No. 3-2005]
Residence shall park their off of roadways and may also use the Mt. Carmel lot located on 3rd & French Streets.
