Items must be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. Rugs, carpet padding, paint and chemicals are NOT permitted. Please place items curbside as neatly as possible. Recycled items should be separated from bulk trash. Residents are required to use a dumpster for construction debris and should never be considered bulk trash. Items must be placed out in accordance with Town of Hammonton Trash Collection Ordinances or they will be refused. Hammonton operates a Convenience Station for residents to use to dispose of various items.
- Residents are allowed up to 3 bulky trash items per collection day.
- Electronic items are permitted. TVs must be intact, cords present.
- Rugs, carpets and carpet padding are not permitted and should be disposed of at the Hammonton Convenience Station.

Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners are accepted curbside during your monthly bulk trash collection day but residents must obtain a $10 per item freon permit at Hammonton Town Hall. All doors on appliances must be removed before discarding.
Bulk trash does not include construction or demolition debris – toilets, bathtubs, windows, roofing materials, etc. Construction and demolition (C&D) waste is a portion of solid waste resulting from the construction or demolition of buildings and other structures. Unlike regular household trash, C&D debris cannot be put at the curb on bulk trash day.
