HAMMONTON, NJ – MainStreet Hammonton is inviting the community to mark their calendars for Saturday, December 5, as Downtown Hammonton prepares for its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring the Hammonton Gazette Elf Village. This year’s event will feature more activities, new holiday experiences, and extended hours from 5 PM to 9 PM, giving families even more opportunities to celebrate the season together.

The annual celebration will bring back the traditions that have made the event a favorite among local families, including live entertainment, holiday activities, and the return of Santa to light the town tree.

“The Tree Lighting has been a holiday tradition in Hammonton for so many years, and we want it to become part of every family’s traditions, too,” said Ty Wilson, Executive Director of MainStreet Hammonton. “Whether it’s taking that annual family photo for Christmas cards, picking out a Christmas tree before heading to the lighting ceremony, or picking up this year’s MainStreet Hammonton ornament, we want people to look forward to this day as part of their holiday season. It’s about creating memories that families will carry with them and look forward to making again year after year.”

Among the new and expanded attractions will be additional holiday photo opportunities, including a festive sleigh perfect for family photos and holiday cards. Visitors can also enjoy a lantern display presented by Allies in Caring and Con-Vivir, an interactive holiday experience at The Bellevue, and additional surprises throughout the evening.

“We’re thrilled to help kick off the holidays in Hammonton at the Bellevue. Stay tuned for all the wonderful things we have to offer, especially for kids in our community,” said Frankie Capoferri, Founder & Creative Director of The Bellevue.

Holiday trolley rides will also return thanks to the Robert J. Capoferri Foundation, offering visitors the opportunity to experience Hammonton’s beautifully decorated homes and festive downtown displays. The trolley will provide convenient pickup and drop-off locations at both the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Rotary Club’s Winterfest**, taking place Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6,** connecting two of the community’s favorite holiday experiences.

Downtown businesses will also help spread the holiday cheer through special activities, seasonal promotions, and festive experiences. Visitors are encouraged to explore the shops, restaurants, and other businesses throughout Downtown Hammonton before and after the tree lighting ceremony.

Additional information, including entertainment schedules, participating businesses, and event activities, will be announced as the celebration approaches.
