Winter Sowing Workshop Tuesday, January 13, 2026 6-8 pm, Hammonton Library Learn how to get a jump start on your spring seed sprouting with this easy method. Bring some empty milk jugs or other plastic containers with lids. We'll provide soil and seeds, and instructions! This is an excellent way to start native plants from seed, since a lot of native varieties need 'cold stratification' - spending time in the cold - to trigger germination when the weather warms in the spring. Please Join us at the Hammonton Canoe Club on Friday, January 16th, 2026 for a special Coffee & Conversation with a Vet event. We will be there from 6-8 p.m. with games, conversation starters, light refreshments – coffee of course and more. Hammonton Town Hall offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Trash collection on Monday will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 20th. Stockton University will be hosting the 22nd annual MLK Day of Service that features projects on campus at the Galloway, Atlantic City and Hammonton locations. PURPOSE: The Town of Hammonton is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Hammonton Lake Park located at 100 Sports Dr. in Hammonton, New Jersey 08037.
