Public Notice for Aquatic Weed Control May 2023
In compliance with Section 9.10 of the New Jersey Pesticide Control Code (N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30), The Town of Hammonton, Public Works Department, will be applying pesticides for the control of bladderwort and other aquatic weeds on the Hammonton Lake, as needed, during the period of Monday May 22, 2023, through Friday, June 2, 2023.
The pesticides used will be those recommended by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, for the control of bladderwort and other aquatic weeds, which includes: diquat (Trade Name – Reward). Product will be sprayed by water injected subsurface method (boat mounted sprayer). All applications will be according to product labeling.
