HAMMONTON, NJ – Get your throwing arm ready! Main Street Hammonton’s annual cornhole tournament returns to Downtown Hammonton on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at 11 Lincoln Street, with bags flying at 12:00 PM.
The Downtown Hammonton Amateur Cornhole Tournament brings the community together for friendly competition, food, drinks and plenty of downtown fun.
Last year’s tournament brought 32 teams of two to Lincoln Street for a full day of competition. Each player received a swag bag packed with goodies, while the tournament’s top finishers took home a combined $500 in cash prizes. The team that battled its way to the top of the bracket also earned the ultimate bragging right: the Cornhole Champion’s Belt.
More importantly, last year’s tournament raised approximately $1,500 for Main Street Hammonton, with those proceeds going directly back into the organization’s work in Downtown Hammonton. As a nonprofit organization, Main Street Hammonton works year-round to support the continued growth and vitality of the Downtown through business support, beautification and improvement projects, marketing, community events and other initiatives designed to strengthen the district and bring people into the heart of Hammonton.
Fundraising events like the Cornament help make that work possible. The Downtown Hammonton Amateur Cornament will build on that success in 2026, with teams once again competing for prizes and local bragging rights. The event will also feature a beer garden and food trucks, giving spectators plenty of reasons to spend the day downtown even if they aren’t competing.
Mark your calendars for October 17 and start thinking about who you want as your teammate. Keep an eye out for registration details and additional event information coming soon.
