Each year, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife raises and stocks thousands of freshwater fish across the state thanks to the dedicated staff at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery. The Pequest Trout Hatchery plays a vital role in raising and stocking over 600,000 rainbow trout annually, stocking over 190 waterbodies throughout the state.
