The Town of Hammonton will be starting work on the playground in mid-June at the Hammonton Lake Park. This will be the first phase of reconstruction during a multi-phase, multi-year project at Lake Park. Due to this construction, and for the safety of visitors to the park, the playground will be closed until construction is complete. The Memorial Day Parade hosted by the Tri-Vets of Hammonton will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, May 30th. The parade route runs from Egg Harbor Road down Bellevue Avenue to Veterans Memorial Park where the ceremony will take place after the parade. Deputy Mayor Tom Gribbin will be the guest speaker among other distinguished guests. Join us in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

At approximately 9:10 PM Saturday (4/30) evening, officers from the Hammonton Police were called to the 200 block of Peach Street in reference to shots fired at a dwelling. Investigation revealed that an unknown subject drove down Peach Street, discharged a firearm at a residence in that block, and left the scene. No individuals were injured in the incident.
